Middle School: Snow Ball Dance 2024

Dress code:  The majority of the Middle School is requesting this to be a semi-formal event.  With that being said, we would treat this like the school dance.  Some kids showed up in dresses and suits.  Others showed off a new shirt with a clean pair of jeans.  Some wore heels.  Some wore clean cowboy boots.  The best thing about Middle School events, besides our children learning how to socialize respectfully, is that they get a chance for self expression.  This year Administration is allowing tasteful spaghetti strap & one-strap dresses.  No midriffs showing and dresses/skirts can be NO more than 3" above knee when standing up straight (this rule WILL BE enforced).   No jeans with holes, no athletic shorts or hoodies.

Food:  We will be serving food similar to the MSNO but will throw in a few more items to make it extra special.  Water & punch will be served as well.  IF you plan to have a dinner party with kids or taking them out prior, please contact me so I can reduce food count.  We wasted a ton of food last year no knowing there were so many pre-party dinners.  You can contact me at 336.207.1657.

Drop-off

All students will be dropped off in a single car rider line.  OR you can park and walk your child to the front door if you feel more comfortable doing that.  This is a different process than picking up your child (Please read below!)

Pick up

All parents should pick up their children in the car rider line.  Please display your child's number in windshield so we can quickly identify them.  The car rider line needs to be SINGLE file.  All children need to wait until their number or name  is called.  Do not stop your car if you see your child.  Please follow the directions of those directing the line and move as far up as possible.  We want to make sure your child gets to you quickly but safely.   It holds up the line and slows down the process unless you move up to where you are directed.

Misconduct

As always, our great Security Team will be there keeping our children safe.  All rules from RA's handbook must be followed.  Any misconduct could result in a child being sent home and possibly not attending another Middle School event.

Cell Phones & Emergency Communication

Cell phones will only be permitted in the entrance to the dance. We will be holding all cell phones at the check-in desk.  IF your child needs to contact you, they are allowed to come up to check-in desk, get their phone and contact you.  They will NOT be permitted to get their phone, check out their social media and hang out with their friends in front of check-in desk.  On the flip side, if you need to contact your child you can call Lauri Fite (336) 207-1657 and she will find your child so you can speak to them or she can give them your message.
